Hola....

Well I think many many days ago I promised to send the Frenchies the recipe of the Kleiner we made for the Farewell Party...here it is:
500 g flour
100 g sugar
1 1/2 tsp sal volatile
2 tsp cardimommes
125 g butter
2 eggs
1 dl milk
500 g oil for frying
Mix the dry stuff together on a table. Put the cold butter into it with your hands. Make the dough wet with eggs and milk..when you put it in you make a hole in the flour and put it there inside. Then knead the dough together with your hands. It should not stick to the table.
Divide it into 4 parts. Make it lean with the stick made out of wood, I do not remember what it is called. Cut it along on the side and make a whole in the middle of each part. Every part should be 3 cm wide and about 5-10 cm long. turn it inside out through the hole in the middle. Heat the frying oil until it is quite hot. Fry the Kleiner until they are golden brown. Remember to turn them around. Take them from the pot and out on a piece of kitchen paper towel to dry. Remember that you can fry a few at a time.
